VALENTINES OF COURSE!
Whether you’re single and hate what the day is about, love it because you get pampered and spoilt by your partner or you’re just a cynic who thinks Valentines is a money-making scheme, the day is here to stay.
Here at Umthunzi hotel, we don’t mind Valentine’s day, especially because we get to show our customers and guests some love.
But enough of the mush, let’s get down with what’s been happening and what’s coming up at the hotel this month.
This month has been particularly busy for us as we hosted quite a few conferences and we are preparing for the weddings that are taking place over the next three months.
We have also reintroduced the Sunday Carvery, much to the delight of everyone on the South Coast.
We took a short hiatus at the end of last year to reevaluate our offerings and to learn more about what you, our valued customer, wanted and how we could enhance your Sunday lunch experience with us.
After much thought, we have decided to bring back the carvery and we will also be introducing a Braai Sunday as well as a plated meal Sunday.
The first Sunday of every month will be our traditional Sunday Carvery and will cost just R169.50 per person.
The Sunday lunches in the middle of the month will have a plated menu at a cost of R125.00 per person.
A firm favourite, the good old South African Braai Styled Sunday Carvery, will take place on the last Sunday of every month. This will cost just R199.50 per person!
We have hosted two carvery’s so far and both have been fully booked and hugely successful.

We also got in on the Valentine’s action and launched our ‘Month of Love’ special earlier this month. The special lets you book a stay for 2 but you only have to pay for 1 for every weekend in February! The perfect Valentine’s gift from us to you and from you to your beloved! We are also preparing for our Valentine’s day dinner later this week. It is a ‘Paris, the City of Love’ themed dinner and we will be entertained by the wonderfully talented Christopher Pillay.
