Umthunzi Hotel has never dissapointed me, from the smooth booking, to the day of arrival. The front desk staff is excellent and welcoming, to the nicely done rooms, fresh linen, with a magnificent sea view, you feel as if you are some place far from Port Shepstone, their breakfast is excellent, the restaurant staff are professional and super helpful and friendly. I would recommend this place, it is value for money

Defensiveness won’t solve your issues at the very least please get your staff trained and refreshed on customer service leaving my food in the bathroom is not okay and denying it happen is even worse!

The reception was great and kitchen staff attentive and ready to provide for needs. The quality of food was not great at some point their juice tasted like coolaid. The cleaning staff took some food that I left in my room and left it in the bathroom… odd and disgustingly disrespectful. Either than that fix your generator to sit with out power for 3 hours and you have no alternative lights is just ridiculous.
